About The Position

As a Security Officer Entry Screening in Ladson, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help monitor access points, screen visitors and team members, and support security-related procedures with professionalism and care. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, vendors, and staff by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Screen individuals, packages, and/or personal belongings entering or leaving the location in accordance with post instructions and established security-related procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate observations to site contacts and/or leadership as needed.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and document screening results, visitor activity, and/or incidents in required logs and reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around designated screening areas, loading and receiving zones, and the perimeter, as directed by site policies and business needs.
