Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Security Officer at a residential community, where you will greet residents and guests, verify credentials, manage entry points, and conduct routine patrols to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and/or visitors by following site-specific access control procedures and security-related protocols.
  • Verify identification, authorizations, and/or visitor logs, issue entry credentials as directed, and help to maintain accurate records of entries and exits.
  • Monitor gates, entrances, and other controlled access points, and communicate with property staff as needed regarding access questions and/or concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and documenting actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to identify unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations.
