Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A current tuberculosis test and MMR vaccinations are required in accordance with DPSS and/or DHS COLA requirements.
  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Monitor entrances and exits, verify identification and/or credentials, process authorized entry, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity to site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with staff and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help identify security-related concerns, access issues, and policy violations.
  • Maintain detailed logs, visitor records, and incident reports, and support daily operations by following post orders and established security-related procedures.
