You will greet visitors, verify credentials, conduct security-related screening such as X-ray and bag checks, and report concerns with clear communication. Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of security experience is required.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and vendors by following site-specific screening procedures, access policies, and/or emergency response instructions at a government location.
  • Operate screening equipment and perform screening of persons, packages, and property in accordance with post orders, including directing individuals through checkpoints and managing secondary screening when needed.
  • Control entry by verifying identification, credentials, and/or authorized access lists, issuing temporary badges as directed, and maintaining orderly queues at screening areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through the chain of command and documenting actions taken.
  • Complete required documentation such as screening logs, incident reports, and shift activity reports, and communicate notable conditions to Allied Universal management and site representatives.
