As a Screener at a leading tech and telecom location, you will greet employees and visitors, support access screening and badge checks, and conduct routine patrols of assigned areas while staying visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site teams, and deliver customer service with professionalism. Requirements

  • A guard card and/or security-related license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, and contractors at entry points using access control procedures, credential verification, and screening equipment such as walk-through detection and/or x-ray systems as permitted by post orders.
  • Monitor and control entry and exit, issue and/or track visitor credentials, and direct guests to appropriate check-in locations while maintaining accurate activity logs.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting concerns, escalating per site protocols, and supporting first responders when requested.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the building, screening areas, and perimeter to help to deter policy violations and/or unauthorized access, with working conditions varying by site.
