As a Security Officer - Corporate Lobby Concierge in Aberdeen, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Security Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will also support on-site teams with strong customer service, clear communication, and basic reporting using a computer or tablet. Requirements

  • A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a manufacturing location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and visitor and/or contractor entry, including verifying identification and coordinating with site contacts as needed.
  • Operate security-related systems such as CCTV, alarms, and radios, and complete routine logs and incident reports.
