As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help monitor entry points, screen personnel and packages, and document security-related activity using site systems. You will maintain a visible presence that helps to deter incidents while delivering strong customer service and clear communication with team members and visitors. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under Allied Universal policy, supporting a culture that is agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first.

Requirements

  • Have 6+ months of security experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be able to lift up to 20 lbs preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Screen personnel, visitors, and contractors at designated entry points by verifying identification, confirming authorization, and maintaining entry and exit logs per site policy.
  • Conduct inspections of bags, packages, and/or shipments as permitted, and report irregularities according to post orders and client requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including escalating concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility interior, loading areas, and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
