About The Position

As a Security Officer - Entry Control Point in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal in a fast-paced government airport location, where you will conduct routine unarmed patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support orderly operations across terminals and public areas. You will respond to calls, document observations, and communicate clearly with travelers, staff, and partners. Requirements

  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government aviation location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of terminals, public areas, curbside zones, parking areas, and perimeter routes; working environments and conditions may vary by post assignment.
  • Monitor access points and restricted-area boundaries, checking credentials and/or permits as directed, and reporting unauthorized access attempts to the appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing clear directions, requesting assistance, and documenting actions taken.
  • Complete routine reports and incident documentation, communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and/or site contacts, and assist with crowd control and traffic flow during peak periods.
