As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing visitors and deliveries, and completing routine patrols of assigned areas. You will stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, communicate clearly with staff and guests, and document activity with professionalism. Requirements

  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and directing visitors and contractors according to site procedures.
  • Monitor authorized access and egress, maintain access logs and/or reports, and communicate concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and documenting events per policy.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
