As a Security Officer Entry Control in South Bend, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and help support smooth site operations. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Guided by a caring culture, teamwork, and integrity, you will help to deter security-related incidents while delivering reliable and innovative service.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor information, and help to deter unauthorized access to buildings, yards, trailer areas, and/or restricted locations.
  • Respond to incidents, delivery-related issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, warehouse areas, parking locations, and perimeter, with attention to unusual activity and security-related concerns.
  • Support truck traffic, employee, and visitor movement by documenting arrivals and departures, maintaining accurate logs, and reporting suspicious, hazardous, and/or policy-related activity.
