As an Access Control Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will greet guests, manage entry points, verify credentials, and monitor activity using a computer and/or tablet. You will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents while delivering standout customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • Have 2+ years of security-related experience.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, shoppers, and store teams by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail and/or mall location.
  • Control access at designated entrances, employee doors, and back-of-house areas by checking identification, managing visitor sign-in and/or sign-out, issuing temporary passes as directed, and directing individuals to the proper location.
  • Monitor and document activity at access points, respond to alarms and/or radio calls, and report unusual conditions to onsite management in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Support receiving and vendor access by verifying delivery credentials, coordinating dock access with store personnel, and maintaining written logs of vendor and contractor activity.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
