About The Position

As a Security Officer - Entry Control in Parma, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, and guide visitors and contractors through site procedures. You will conduct routine rounds, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with on-site teams. Requirements

  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities for a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Control access at entry points by verifying identification, authorizations, and/or deliveries, and maintaining required visitor and contractor logs.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, radios, and/or access control systems; report and document irregular activity according to site post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and/or emergency services as required.
  • Complete routine reporting such as shift logs, pass-down notes, and incident reports, and communicate observations to supervisors and/or site management.
