As a Security Officer - Entry Control Specialist in Twinsburg, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, greet associates and drivers with professionalism, and maintain clear logs and communication. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, and respond to security-related concerns with agility, reliability, and integrity while supporting smooth daily operations through teamwork and customer service.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, drivers, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures, identification requirements, and security-related protocols.
• Control entry and exit at gates and/or lobby access points by verifying credentials, issuing temporary badges when authorized, and directing vehicle and pedestrian traffic to approved areas.
• Monitor and document inbound and outbound activity including visitor logs, driver check-in, trailer and seal information when required, and report discrepancies per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site leadership and/or emergency services as directed by procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas, such as entrances, parking lots, docks, and perimeter points, to help to deter unauthorized access and identify maintenance and/or security-related concerns.
