As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, track visitors, and support smooth operations through clear communication and customer service. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and document activity using site technology. This is a driving post with Allied Universal, where integrity, teamwork, and a caring culture come first.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Comfortable using computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and associates by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control access at entry and exit points by verifying identification, confirming appointments and/or load information, issuing visitor credentials, and directing traffic to designated areas.
• Monitor inbound and outbound vehicle movement by documenting trailer numbers, seal conditions, and delivery or pickup details, and reporting irregularities according to post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services when needed and completing required reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, warehouse areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
