About The Position

As a Security Officer - Entry Control Driver in Bolingbrook, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech and telecom location as an Access Control Officer, helping manage entry points, verify credentials, and guide employees, vendors, and visitors with clear communication and customer service. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and document activity while supporting a culture that is agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and grounded in integrity and teamwork. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, vendors, and/or visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a tech and/or telecom location.
• Control access to the facility by verifying identification and/or credentials, issuing visitor badges, maintaining visitor logs, and directing authorized personnel to approved areas.
• Monitor entry points, alarms, and/or video surveillance systems, reporting unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access and/or loss.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and escalating concerns per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, checking doors, gates, and restricted areas and reporting maintenance and/or access issues.
