About The Position

As a Security Officer - Entry Control Desk in Lexington, NE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced food and beverage location where you will manage access control, greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, and help monitor entrances and key areas. You will conduct routine patrols, document security-related activity, and communicate clearly with on-site teams. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Having customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a food and beverage production and distribution location.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining visitor and vendor logs, and directing authorized personnel to appropriate check-in areas.
  • Screen and process incoming and outgoing traffic such as employees, contractors, deliveries, and commercial vehicles by confirming authorization, coordinating with site contacts, and documenting exceptions per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting concerns, assisting with scene control until help arrives, and completing required documentation.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including exterior perimeter checks when applicable, to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity, and report hazards or maintenance issues through proper channels.
