As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a busy manufacturing location, you will greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, and manage entry and exit points to help support a more secure environment. You will monitor activity, complete routine patrols of assigned areas, and communicate clearly with site teams to help address security-related concerns. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Alarm Panel Experience is preferred.
- Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
- Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors and employees by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
- Operate access control post duties including verifying identification, processing visitor and contractor check-in and/or check-out, issuing badges and/or passes, and directing arrivals to the appropriate areas.
- Monitor and document entry and exit activity for personnel, vehicles, and deliveries, helping to deter unauthorized access and supporting controlled movement through gates, doors, and dock areas.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, completing required reports, and coordinating with site leadership and/or emergency services when needed.
- Monitor alarms and/or surveillance systems as assigned, report suspicious activity, and support investigations by preserving observations and maintaining accurate logs.
