About The Position

As a Security Officer - Entry Authorization in Wilmington, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, and maintain visitor and driver logs. You will conduct routine patrols of key areas, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with team members and site personnel. Bring a people-first mindset, act with integrity, and support a reliable, agile, innovative operation through teamwork.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and drivers by following site-specific access control procedures and Allied Universal policies at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control entry and exit by checking identification, issuing temporary badges, managing visitor logs, and directing deliveries to the proper dock or staging area.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems, and respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while escalating per post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouses, yard areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Document security-related activities such as access denials, incident reports, and shift handoffs, and communicate key information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
