Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support security-related procedures for people, vehicles, and deliveries. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license. You will remain visible, help to deter incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service through teamwork, integrity, and a caring, reliable approach.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points at the location, verify credentials, check in visitors and vendors, and help to control access to authorized areas in a professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document security-related events according to site procedures.
  • Support receiving and shipping activity by observing inbound and outbound traffic, confirming required paperwork, and communicating with site contacts regarding deliveries, pickups, and/or visitor access.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, surrounding areas, and perimeter locations as directed by site policies, noting unusual activity and reporting concerns to management.
