As a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help support security-related operations by greeting associates and visitors, verifying identification, monitoring access points, and screening people and belongings as needed. You will stay visible, communicate clearly, and document observations to help reduce incidents. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to site personnel, drivers, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Screen employees, visitors, and vendors entering the location by verifying identification, managing sign-in and badge issuance, and conducting package or bag inspections as permitted by site policy.
- Control access at entrances and/or gate areas by checking delivery documentation, directing vehicle and foot traffic, and supporting orderly dock and yard operations.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and communicating with site leadership and Allied Universal supervision as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the building, yard, and perimeter, and observe alarm panels and/or video monitoring systems to identify and report unusual activity.
