As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a food and beverage production location, you will support access control by greeting employees and visitors, verifying credentials, managing entry points, and documenting security-related activity. You will complete routine patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter unwanted activity, and communicate clearly with site contacts. Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
  • Control access at entry and exit points by verifying identification and/or credentials, issuing visitor badges, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing guests to approved areas.
  • Screen and monitor vehicle and delivery traffic by checking shipping and receiving documentation, coordinating with site personnel, and reporting irregularities per site policy.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including activating notifications, documenting events, and escalating concerns through the chain of command.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, check doors and gates, and note and report maintenance and/or hazard conditions.
