The role involves a fixed-shift commitment (Anchor Shifts) at a designated site for a six-month period, with the ability to pick up extra shifts through a scheduling platform to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity to the appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the building, common areas, entrances, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials when required, and support orderly movement throughout the location in alignment with site-specific procedures.
  • Assist with incident reporting, routine communications, and coordination with staff and/or first responders during medical, behavioral, or facility-related events as needed.
