As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Entry Control in Springfield, MO, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by following site-specific access control procedures, credential verification practices, and emergency response activities at the location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or visitor authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access to production, warehouse, and other restricted areas.
• Document visitor, contractor, and/or delivery activity, maintain accurate access logs, and communicate security-related concerns, unusual activity, and policy violations to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting de-escalation and coordinating with emergency services when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including checkpoints tied to gates, parking areas, loading zones, and other access-sensitive areas where working conditions may vary by location.
