As a Security Officer Enhanced Entry Control in Murrieta, CA, this role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking-up additional shifts. The role involves a fixed-shift commitment (Anchor Shifts) at a designated site and weekly shift, requiring a six-month commitment. In addition to the fixed shift, employees can pick up extra shifts through a scheduling platform to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites, allowing for part-time or full-time hours as desired. This position is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back when needed.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, security-related policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access to the location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter, noting unusual activity and reporting concerns according to site procedures.
