This Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position is a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader. As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Desk Associate in Philadelphia, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. The role involves a Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts") where you are hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule, requiring a six (6) month commitment. Additionally, through the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program, you may pick-up extra shifts via a scheduling platform to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites, allowing you to work part-time hours one week and full-time the next, as desired.

Requirements

Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, front desk protocols, and appropriate emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
Monitor access to the location by greeting incoming individuals, verifying credentials and/or appointments, issuing visitor passes when required, and documenting front desk activity in accordance with site policies.
Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and/or emergency personnel as appropriate.
Answer phones, assist with directional support, and help to address questions or concerns while maintaining awareness of security-related procedures at the front desk.
Support daily operations by maintaining accurate logs, reporting maintenance or access concerns, and helping to deter unauthorized entry through consistent application of site-specific policies.
