As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements. You will support a caring, people-first culture through clear communication, strong customer service, and teamwork, while acting with integrity in every interaction.
Requirements
- EMT Certification is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Previous Firefighting Experience is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production areas, warehouses, parking lots, and perimeter fencing, noting unusual conditions and/or unauthorized activity.
- Control access by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying identification and/or authorization, issuing visitor directions, and documenting site traffic per post orders.
- Monitor alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems when assigned, and communicate observations to site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing initial on-scene support, completing reports, and escalating concerns through the proper channels.
