As a Security Officer - Educational Facility - Full Time in Phoenix, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. This is a driving post, offering the opportunity to make a positive impact while working as part of a dedicated team guided by Allied Universal's core values.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Experience in a primarily driving post is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in an educational environment.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a secure atmosphere within the location.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the campus and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
Observe and report any unusual activities or incidents to Allied Universal management and/or site leadership as required.
Assist visitors, students, and staff with directions and general inquiries while maintaining a visible presence throughout the location.
Follow all post orders and instructions specific to the educational environment, adapting to varying working conditions as needed.
