As an unarmed Patrol Officer in an education location, you will monitor and patrol campus areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will greet staff, students, and visitors with outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and report concerns promptly. Requirements
- Be 21+ years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an education location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate staff and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and/or policy concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity during patrols, offering directions and assistance while helping to maintain an orderly environment for students, staff, and visitors.
- Complete shift documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and activity reports, and communicate observations and/or concerns to Allied Universal management and site contacts.
