About The Position

As a Security Officer - Education Welcome Desk in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greet visitors, students, and staff in a professional manner and provide customer service at the front desk.
  • Monitor access to the location by verifying identification and signing in guests as required by site-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures.
  • Assist with security-related procedures and protocols specific to the education environment.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with students, faculty, staff, and visitors regarding security-related matters.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents or unusual activities according to site protocols.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed, including coordination with local authorities if needed.
