As a Front Desk Officer in an education location, you will be the first point of contact, welcoming students, staff, and visitors while supporting security-related access control and visitor processing. You will monitor activity from the desk, answer questions, and communicate concerns to the appropriate teams, helping to reduce incidents through a visible, professional presence. Requirements

  • Have 6+ months of security experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Greet and screen visitors, issue visitor credentials per site procedure, manage sign-in logs, and direct guests to the appropriate campus offices or departments.
  • Monitor entry points, coordinate access control for staff, students, contractors, and deliveries, and help to deter unauthorized access through consistent front desk presence.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services and documenting actions taken.
  • Operate front desk communications and systems such as phones, radios, cameras, and alarm panels as assigned, and complete reports and shift handoffs according to Allied Universal requirements.
