Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Staff the front desk by greeting and directing visitors, answering phones, and assisting with general inquiries while maintaining awareness of security-related concerns.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access by monitoring entry points, confirming identification and/or authorization, issuing visitor credentials as required, and maintaining sign-in logs.
  • Monitor security-related systems such as cameras, alarms, and access control and report irregular activity according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, document actions taken, and notify site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
