As a Security Officer - Education Patrol Operations in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an unarmed patrol professional with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by performing routine bike and foot patrols throughout an educational campus setting. Your presence will support a welcoming atmosphere, as you respond to incidents, assist visitors, and communicate clearly with students, faculty, and staff. Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to staff, students, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the educational environment.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus buildings and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor access points and report any suspicious behavior or activities as outlined in site-specific protocols.
Assist with controlling entry and exit at designated locations to help to maintain a secure environment for the campus community.
Document observations, incidents, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
Work closely with campus personnel and/or local authorities as needed to support security-related operations.
Remain alert to changes in the environment and communicate potential concerns to the appropriate parties.
