As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will actively monitor and patrol an educational location, helping to deter security-related incidents while supporting a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible throughout the campus, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication, all while upholding our company's values of integrity, teamwork, and putting people first.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the educational location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible presence.
  • Communicate clearly with students, staff, and visitors to provide assistance and relay important information.
  • Document and report any observed irregularities, incidents, or maintenance needs encountered during patrols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency responders when required by site protocols.
