Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting emergency response activities as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the educational facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
Monitor building access points and report any suspicious behavior or security-related concerns according to established protocols.
Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
Support a secure environment for students, faculty, and visitors by being visible and approachable during patrols.
Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal management to address ongoing security-related concerns and provide recommendations as appropriate.
