Job Description As a Security Officer - Education Patrol in Boiling Springs, SC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will interact with students, staff, and visitors, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. By promoting a welcoming atmosphere and responding promptly to security-related concerns, you will contribute to a positive campus environment while upholding Allied Universal's values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Access control or badge experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies while on patrol.
- Help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior by conducting regular and random patrols throughout the campus buildings and surrounding perimeter areas.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the location.
- Observe and report any irregularities, such as property damage, unusual occurrences, or unauthorized persons on campus grounds.
- Assist with access control by monitoring entry points and verifying credentials as required.
- Support emergency response activities as needed, including assisting with evacuations or providing guidance to students and staff during incidents.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and daily activities for review by Allied Universal and site management.
