As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming environment for all. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible throughout the campus, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post, where you will contribute to a caring and reliable team that values integrity and innovation every day. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Sun 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

Requirements

A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
At least six months of security-related experience is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
A security guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations at the educational location in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus buildings and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activities, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
Collaborate with campus personnel and Allied Universal management to address security-related concerns and support a positive campus environment.
Maintain accurate and detailed logs and incident reports as required by site procedures.
Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, verifying identification as needed, and helping to direct visitors to appropriate areas.
