Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols throughout an educational location. Your visible presence and attentive customer service will foster a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will play a key role in promoting a positive atmosphere, responding to security-related situations, and upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the campus and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity within the educational environment.
Assist with access control and monitor entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized individuals from entering restricted areas.
Communicate professionally with students, faculty, staff, and visitors to address questions and provide assistance as needed.
Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal procedures.
