As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned locations within an educational environment, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents and provide peace of mind to students, staff, and visitors. You will deliver exceptional customer service and communication, reflecting our values of agility, reliability, and teamwork while contributing to a caring and people-focused culture. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $20.40 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Fri 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM Sat 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM Sun 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify any potential issues.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas, reporting any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control and visitor management to help to maintain a secure environment within the educational location.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and maintenance concerns according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Support emergency response efforts, including assisting with evacuations and providing guidance to students, staff, and visitors as needed.
