About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Education Patrols in Ashburn, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service through clear communication and professionalism. Requirements

Availability across various days and shifts
Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Experience providing customer service is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Possession of a valid Security Professional Guard Card or license is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within an educational environment.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a secure atmosphere for students, staff, and visitors.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel and/or authorities.
Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying identification when required, and maintaining visitor logs as needed.
Work collaboratively with school staff and local authorities as necessary to address security-related concerns.
Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential disruptions and/or unauthorized individuals.
