Job Description As a Security Officer - Education Campus Patrols in La Jolla, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including buildings and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence.
- Communicate observed issues and/or incidents to appropriate personnel and document findings as required.
- Support a secure environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors by maintaining awareness of activities and conditions throughout the location.
- Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and client representatives to address security-related needs and concerns at the location.
