Job Description As a Security Officer - Education Campus Patrol in Hamilton, OH , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting regular patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout the campus. You will interact with students, faculty, and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and communication while supporting a secure environment. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies in an educational environment.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the campus buildings and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or suspicious behavior.
- Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying identification, and reporting any irregularities.
- Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activities, hazards, or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Support emergency response activities as needed, including assisting with evacuations or providing directions to emergency services.
- Maintain detailed and accurate daily activity reports and incident logs as required by Allied Universal and the client site.
- Communicate professionally with all individuals on site and work collaboratively with campus staff and local authorities when necessary.
