About The Position

As a Security Officer - Driving Patrol Weekdays in Plymouth, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed, driving patrol officer at a healthcare location, where you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support staff and visitors with a professional, customer-focused approach. You will respond to alarms and report concerns clearly while working as part of a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative, always acting with integrity and putting people first.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
  • Must be comfortable using computers or tablets

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical campus calls for assistance and/or disruptive behavior.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout healthcare buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and interior areas, assisting with visitor screening, badge compliance, and/or directing individuals to appropriate departments per site procedures.
  • Observe and report hazards, suspicious behavior, and/or unsecured doors and gates, escalating concerns according to post orders.
  • Complete shift reports, incident documentation, and/or activity logs, and communicate updates to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
  • Operate and/or monitor security-related systems such as CCTV, access control, radios, and/or alarm panels as assigned.
  • Assist with emergency response activities such as fire alarm activations, evacuations, and/or severe weather procedures in accordance with site policies.
  • Support de-escalation efforts and provide presence in high-traffic areas such as entrances, lobbies, and/or corridors to help to deter disruptions.
  • Work in various indoor and outdoor environments and conditions that may vary by location and assignment.
