As a Security Officer - Access Control Driver in Mount Juliet, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a leading tech and media location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and respond to security-related concerns with clear communication and strong customer service. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and support a welcoming workplace through teamwork and integrity. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license per Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a tech and/or telecom location.
  • Manage access control duties including verifying identification and credentials, processing visitor check-in and/or check-out, issuing temporary badges when authorized, and maintaining accurate entry logs.
  • Monitor access points and security-related systems such as CCTV, alarms, and intrusion notifications, and report irregular activity per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity, noting hazards and submitting reports per post orders.
