About The Position

As a Security Officer - Driver Patrol in Coffeyville, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location as an unarmed patrol officer in a driving post. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, support access control and badge checks, and document security-related activity while providing strong customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and/or process-area concerns to appropriate contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, process areas, tank farms, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized access and/or unusual activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Control access at gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification, logging visitors and vehicles, and directing deliveries and contractors per site rules.
  • Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and other documentation in a timely manner and communicate observations during shift turnovers to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
