About The Position

As an unarmed patrol officer at a leading tech location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible, and help to deter security-related incidents through strong presence and clear communication. You will respond to calls for service, document observations, and support staff and visitors with professional customer service. This is a driving post, so a valid driver’s license is required. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A minimum of 1 year of security experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A Guard Card and/or security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, and/or visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to security-related requests as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, lobbies, common areas, parking areas, and the exterior grounds to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and coordinate with site personnel regarding visitor check-in, deliveries, and/or badge compliance in accordance with site-specific requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with emergency services and/or site leadership when needed.
  • Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate relevant information to the next shift and site contacts.
