About The Position

As a Security Officer - Driver Patrol Unit in Sacramento, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential community, you will perform routine patrols and remain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, respond to calls for service, and document observations with clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy requirements. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A guard card and/or security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential community, including amenities, parking areas, and common areas, documenting observations and unusual activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting additional assistance from local emergency services when needed.
  • Control access at assigned entry points by monitoring vehicle and pedestrian traffic, verifying credentials when required, and reporting unauthorized access attempts.
  • Complete daily activity logs and incident reports, communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal supervision and/or property management, and follow post orders for shift turnovers.
