As an unarmed, driving patrol officer with Allied Universal at a retail and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related issues. You will communicate clearly with team members and site leadership, document security-related activity using a computer and/or tablet, and deliver a customer-first presence that reflects our agile, reliable, innovative culture built on teamwork and integrity.
Requirements
- Be at least 21+ years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR Certification is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail and/or mall location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout interior sales floors, stock and receiving areas, and exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor entrances, loading areas, and delivery activity, verifying access as directed by site procedures and reporting suspicious or unusual behavior.
- Complete routine reports and incident documentation, communicate relevant information during shift turnover, and support loss prevention and/or customer service efforts as directed.
