As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, support access control and badge checks, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Bring strong communication and customer service as you document activity and partner with site teams, acting with integrity in an agile, reliable, innovative, people-first culture.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting observations, and coordinating with site contacts and local responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of process areas, tank farms, docks, buildings, and perimeter fencing to help identify unusual conditions, unsecured doors and/or gates, and unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Control access at entry points by checking identification, verifying authorization, issuing visitor directions, and supporting vehicle screening and/or delivery coordination per site requirements.
  • Monitor cameras, intrusion alarms, and/or fire panels as assigned, report maintenance concerns, and complete accurate reports, logs, and shift handoffs per site procedures.
