About The Position

As an unarmed patrol officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for assistance, document observations, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication with tenants, visitors, and site contacts. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy requirements, in a team that acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or property management by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of building common areas, parking areas, loading zones, and the exterior perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access points and help to control entry by observing pedestrian and vehicle traffic, verifying authorization when required, and directing guests to proper destinations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, and property alarms; request assistance from emergency services and/or site leadership as needed.
  • Complete shift activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation; communicate observations and recommended follow-up to Allied Universal leadership and/or property representatives.
