Security Officer - Driver Patrol Rounds
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Driver Patrol Rounds in Knightdale, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site personnel and visitors, and deliver helpful customer service while supporting a caring, people-first team that acts with integrity. This post requires a valid driver’s license meeting Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting site management and/or public emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the building, docks, yard areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
- Monitor access points and traffic flow, including checking identification and/or credentials, logging visitors, and assisting with delivery driver check-in and routing per site policy.
- Complete detailed patrol and incident reports, note hazards or suspicious conditions, and communicate observations to Allied Universal supervision and site representatives.
